Enterprise Account Executive

Responsibilities

You will help organizations improve ROI by using synthetic populations to simulate the impact of strategies and interventions for critical business decisions.

As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will execute against our sales and marketing strategies and take ownership of refining the sales motion as we learn from customers and grow into new verticals. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded, result-driven seller with B2B software experience and is empathetic to the problems we help customers solve. 

As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will grow new business and work leads coming from multiple channels. You will build meaningful, trust-based relationships with prospects to close deals and maintain long-term partnerships. To be successful, you must be successful at:

  • Understanding Needs: You act as a partner and seek to understand the customer's perspective and pain points to offer tailored solutions.

  • Long-Term Focus: You aim for long-lasting business relationships rather than one-time transactions.

In this role, you will have multiple growth opportunities and help refine strategies to reach and meet customer needs. You must have the confidence and ability to leverage connections into CXOs, VPs, and senior leadership to find new opportunities, negotiate and close agreements with customers, support new customers through our on-boarding process, and grow enterprise accounts.

You will know you are succeeding in the role when you are cultivating relationships resulting in sales and closing deals that result in repetitive and/or referral sales. 

 

Expectations

  • Year 1
    • $1M quota
    • 2 enterprise deals closed per quarter
    • Deliver 2 scoping documents per week
    • Average 5 new sales qualified leads per week
  • Year 2 and beyond
    • $2M quota
    • 3 enterprise deals closed per quarter
    • Deliver 2 scoping documents per week
    • Average 5 new sales qualified leads per week
    • Grow opportunities within existing accounts
  • Build client relationships within a specific vertical.
  • Help define and own the results you produce.
  • Prospect, develop, and close business within a timely manner.
  • Inform marketing and product decisions based on feedback and interactions with customers.
  • Increase the total number of qualified opportunities and uncover ways to accelerate prospects through the sales process..
  • Work closely with leadership, marketing, data science, and engineering teams to refine our targeting and segmentation.
  • Be a steward of the Epistemix brand.

 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required.
  • 8+ years of field sales experience preferred with an emphasis on data or advanced analytics.
  • 5+ year’s experience focussed on generating new business with enterprise accounts.
  • Proven ability to independently manage, develop, and close new client relationships.
  • Experience achieving an annual quota of $1M+ of ARR.
  • Experience and proven track record of selling data, analytics, and services packages at $200K/year for initial contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex solutions to decision makers.
  • New business sales focus and embraces without fear reaching first-time customers..
  • Excellent communicator, presenter, and relationship manager.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced startup environment and overcome ambiguity challenges typical of startups.
  • Self-aware, curious, and driven.
  • Ability to understand how data, simulation, machine learning, and AI are complementary and how each market is evolving.
  • Since the position is remote, you must have computer, printer and cell phone capabilities that are in good working order.
  • Presents oneself with professionalism and appropriate decorum before customers and vendors.

Reports to: John Cordier

Classification of Position: 

  • Salaried/Commissioned and FLSA Exempt
  • Full-time 40+ hours per week

Location of Position: Remote with an expectation of travel 50% of time.

  • Base Salary: $90,000-$150,000
  • Sales Commission: Accelerator to hit $350K if on quota; uncapped upside

Physical and Mental Requirements for Performing the Position

  • Be on your feet at in-person events for 10+ hours/day
